Nissan eröffnet erste Nismo-Zentren außerhalb Japans zur Restaurierung klassischer GT-Rs

Iconic Nissans, the Skyline GT-R chief among them, have long been popular there, in part because they were sold new rather than arriving as grey imports the way they did in the US. With that history in mind, it makes sense that Australia is about to become one of the first countries outside Japan to host its own Nismo Performance Centers.

The first of these centers will open in the second half of 2026 at Nissan Ferntree Gully, a dealership located roughly 45 minutes southeast of Melbourne’s CBD.

The site will function as a direct line to Nismo's famed Omori Factory in Japan, offering access to heritage parts, restoration services, and the kind of factory-level expertise that has been almost impossible to source locally.

The facilities will employ factory-certified Nismo master technicians with experience working on some of the brand’s most iconic models, including the R32, R33, and R34 Skyline GT-Rs.

Nissan announced its local Nismo Performance Centers during the annual GT-R Festival at Sydney Dragway over the weekend. President and chief executive of Nissan Motorsports & Customizing, as well as the global head of the Nismo brand, Yutaka Sanada, attended the event.
